Tyler Flakes is one of the emerging talents in Southern football in the 2024 class.

The 5-foot-8, 160-pound running back attends Auburn High School. Flakes has attended a Rivals camp before.

Flakes’ best game last season was against Opelika when he had around 160 yards, as well as two touchdowns.

Flakes has been playing football for 10 years now and he brings a physical mindset to the pitch.

“I’m a ground and pound downhill runner,” Flakes said.

Flakes describes his favorite football memory.

“When we beat our rival school last year,” Flakes said.

Flakes do their best every day to be the most inspiring leader possible.

“I show that I am a good teammate by lifting my teammates,” said Flakes. “The best advice I give is to play as hard as possible and have fun.”

Flakes is grateful to have coaches who care about him. Flakes shares what he learned from his coaches.

“I learned from my coaches that body language and character play a big role,” said Flakes. “The best advice I got from my coaches is if you play badly just forget about it and move on to the next game. “

Flakes explains why he has such a passion for football.

“What I love most about football is the adrenaline when you play, being with my teammates and doing what I love,” said Flakes.

Flakes believes football teaches players the value of a work ethic.

“Playing football has taught me that you have to work hard to get what you want and you can be successful,” said Flakes.

Flakes models his game after these talented running backs.

“The players I admire would be Nick Chubb and Ezekiel Elliott,” said Flakes.

Flakes cites history as his favorite subject in school.

Flakes constantly squeak even when not working out.

“I do fieldwork and strength training,” Flakes said.

Flakes shares his high school aspirations.

“My goals for high school are to get good grades and play football to the best of my ability,” Flakes said.

Flakes lists its top college picks like Oregon, Georgia, Florida, Kansas, and Kentucky.

Flakes explains why he feels he stands out from other athletes.

“I feel very humble,” Flakes said. “I don’t really like to party after a big play and I feel like I’m working really hard and it would be hard to outdo myself.”
