Dubai Maritime City industrial district to improve infrastructure

The $ 3.7 million upgrade project will meet growing demand within the industrial hub, creating an increase in occupants.

Ahmed Al Hammadi, COO of DMC, said: âThe Dubai Maritime City Industrial Zone is a bustling business hub, home to leading shipping companies. Currently, the district’s occupancy rate reaches 82% with 299 business partners.
âThe rapid increase in the number of occupants has prompted us to undertake the upgrade of existing effluent treatment systems to provide top quality services to local businesses. We are constantly working to ensure that our existing facilities meet the needs of our customers.
“Thus, supporting our mission and goal of helping DMC’s business partners thrive and maintain the quality we deliver to our discerning customers, while facilitating wastewater treatment processes in the city.”
Currently, the team has completed 98% of the design work and 36% of the engineering and contract placement related to the upgrade project which began in October 2020 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.
