Frank Lampard has already contacted Chelsea over the summer signing of Everton and Conor Gallagher
Everton manager Frank Lampard has already spoken to Chelsea about his transfer interest in Conor Gallagher, according to TEAMtalk.
Lampard had an instant impact at Everton, turning the club’s mood upside down after Rafael Benitez was sacked. In fact, he made his mark straight away on January’s transfer deadline day.
He brought in Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United, the Dutch star is seeking more playing time. Alli, meanwhile, has been looking for a fresh start and has left Tottenham on a permanent deal.
Both midfielders enjoyed the start of their careers at Everton. TEAMtalk understands, however, that Lampard is now aiming to add Gallagher to their ranks.
The Crystal Palace star, on loan from Chelsea, left Stamford Bridge in the summer to seek regular playing time.
However, he became one of the signings of the season for Eagles boss Patrick Vieira. As a result, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has insisted he plans to bring in Gallagher in his first team next season.
Nevertheless, Lampard – who was sacked at Chelsea before Tuchel’s arrival – also knows Gallagher well.
TEAMtalk have now learned that they have therefore not been shy about expressing their interest in signing the midfielder for Everton.
lampard was keen to ensure the Toffees are front and center should Chelsea let Gallagher go on loan again.
Gallagher has now played 51 Premier League games, but none have come to Chelsea. He first impressed last season at West Brom, despite their potential relegation.
However, he has moved to a new level at Palace this season, even making his senior England debut in November.
Gallagher has scored seven goals and assisted three more in the Premier League this season.
Despite Everton’s interest, they won’t be the only club wanting Gallagher if Chelsea decide to let him go.

But Gallagher is not the only Chelsea loan star to face a key crossroads in his career this summer.
Albania international striker Armando Broja impressed during his loan spell at Southampton.
Saints are said to be considering a big transfer offer to sign the 20-year-old permanently in January.
They could still pursue him this summer, but Chelsea could – as they plan with Gallagher – integrate Broja into their first team.
Nevertheless, Chelsea are in a fantastic position. They can choose to either add some exciting talent to their first team or sell the pair of academy graduates for a hefty profit.
