Holly Brooks appointed Director of Communications for the Florida Trucking Association
Brooks brings expertise in broadcast journalism, public relations and digital marketing to FTA.
The Florida Trucking Association announced this week that Holly brooks joined its management team as Director of Communications.
Brooks is a former digital communications specialist at Florida Bar, where she produced video content and assisted bar management with speeches and presentation material. Prior to that, she worked as a Senior Account Manager at RB Oppenheim Associates in Tallahassee, where she managed communications initiatives for clients across various industries.
Brooks graduated from the University of Florida, where she earned a degree in telecommunications. She began her career in television news as an associate producer with WTSP-TV in St. Petersburg and was recently appointed president-elect of the capital chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association.
“With a professional background in broadcast journalism, public relations and digital marketing, Holly brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the FTA team. His impressive skills and passion for the communications field will benefit the Florida trucking industry and continue to propel FTA forward, ”said Alix miller, who took over President of the Florida Trucking Association August 1st.
Brooks added, “I am proud to join the dedicated team at FTA and look forward to amplifying the voice of the Florida trucking industry, the state’s largest transportation sector. Every day, Floridians rely on trucks to deliver the products they need safely and efficiently, and I am delighted to recognize the extremely important work of FTA and its members.
FTA serves as a liaison between the trucking industry, the legislature and state regulatory bodies, and serves as a source of information, continuing education and best practices for its members.
