TAC Index platform introduces four new trade routes
Air freight rate data provider TAC Index has added several important new routes to its growing list of air freight indices, a press release confirmed.
Recently launched routes include Vietnam to Europe, US to China, US to South America, and US to Europe, which would provide important data and information to any party interested in air freight.
The TAC Index indicates that its route indices, based primarily on raw freight forwarder transaction data, are now starting to incorporate other data points from airline engagement.

“Airlines have started providing datasets to the TAC index as they increasingly note the value of greater price transparency for all parties in air freight pricing data,” said the company, noting that the indices can be used for performance benchmarking, risk management and ideal for indexed agreements (ILAs) between various parts of air cargo.
TAC Index Managing Director John Peyton Burnett added that the newly launched routes have become important trade routes for air cargo in recent years.
“We are very happy to have reached the thresholds to start publishing the indices for these markets. These are also some of our first country-to-country twinnings, of which we will publish more in the future. We expect a number of new routes to go live in the coming weeks as we continue to expand our offerings, ”he added.
